HaikTax

Personal tax returns, without the trip to the office

For about 20 years, HaikTax has prepared income tax returns for individuals and families in Montréal. Send us your documents from home — a phone photo or a PDF is enough.

Services

We focus on one thing: personal income tax returns.

Personal returns

Federal (Canada Revenue Agency) and Québec (Revenu Québec) returns, filed electronically.

The whole family

One person can send the documents for the whole household: spouse, children, parents.

Slips from the government

As your authorized representative, we can retrieve many of your slips (T4, RL-1…) directly from the governments.

Your language

We serve clients in English, French, Armenian and Russian.

How it works

The client portal is a secure website where only you can see your files.

  1. Get access

Existing clients receive an invitation by email. New clients sign up and we confirm their account.

  2. Send your documents

Take a photo with your phone or upload a PDF, for each member of the family.

  3. Press “I'm finished”

We are notified right away. If something is missing, we tell you in the portal.

  4. We prepare your return

We contact you when your return is ready.

Become a client

Signing up takes two minutes, from your phone or computer. No password to remember.

  1. Open the client portal

    Press the button below.

  2. Enter your email

We send you a 6-digit code. Type it in — your account is created.

  3. Tell us about your family

Your name, phone and the family members whose returns we prepare.

  4. We confirm your account

Once we confirm it, you can send your documents.

What to prepare

The most common documents. Send whatever applies to you; if in doubt, send it.

Income

  • Employment: T4 / RL-1
  • Pensions: T4A, T4A(P), T4A(OAS) / RL-2
  • Employment insurance, parental benefits: T4E / RL-6
  • Investments: T5, T3, T5008 / RL-3, RL-16
  • Self-employment or rental: income and expenses

Deductions and credits

  • RRSP contribution receipts
  • Medical and dental receipts
  • Charitable donations
  • Childcare: receipts / RL-24
  • Tuition: T2202 / RL-8
  • Rent: RL-31 (from your landlord)

New clients

  • Last year's notices of assessment
  • Social insurance number of each family member
  • Date of arrival in Canada, if recent
  • Direct deposit information

Many government slips can be retrieved directly by us as your representative — you don't always need to send them. Documents the government does not have (receipts, donations, childcare, rent) are the most important ones to send.
